Something Undeniably Familiar about Drinkz - A Pericope from the North

I know you all are having your typical, Rant, good-natured ribbing at the expense of Mizzou. But there is something that’s kind of familiar about Eliah Drinkwitz’s visage.

For the LSU posters, “visage” is a 50 cent word that means “face.”

As some of you may know, there is a sect of the Latter Day Saints (the Mormons) that are headquartered here in Missouri - Independence to be precise. And the Reformed Latter Day Saints (RLDS) are comprised of a lot of good folks who really weren’t keen on moving any further West.



That’s their temple. And without getting into a meandering theological discussion of quasi-Christian sects, the Mormons (Diet and Regular) both view genealogy as a very important part of their lives and faith. Well, some of the RLDS faithful were intrigued by the familiar face of Coach Eli (and probably cuz he has a funny-sounding, Mormonism name) and set about to do some in-depth research.

This is them. Doing research.

And what they’ve discovered (and this is a late-breaking story you’re going to hear more about), is that Coach Drinkwitz is a direct descendant of someone y’all have read a lot about.
