Several people have said on here he is keeping Mac. I hope he made that decision and not Carter

Is Kendal Briles a realistic OC choice or a pipedream? Our offense could be nightmarish with those two at the helm
Our defense could play a lot more aggressive without the constant pressure they were in this season... and not being on the field the entire time has got to help exponentially

Neal and Chase said on the Hand Raise Guys last night that Kevin Smith and Charlie Weis Jr would almost assuredly be coming with him.
The only other possibilities from that staff that I see are maybe Lance Thompson or Clint Trickett.

Word is Jeff Lebby from UCF is close to being named OC. His offense averaged 43 points per game in his two years at UCF. They averaged 39 points against power 5 opponents over that span.

Lance Thompson should make the move. Very good recruiter, and has a ton of SEC recruiting experience.

Jeff Lebby
Why hire him over Kendal Briles? Briles has a lot more experience. Lebby has exactly one year of coordinating experience.

Kendal might be holding out for a bigger job. USC, or another blue blood that has their OC leave for a mid-tier HC position.

What constant pressure? We scored a lot of points and moved the ball on O this year.

Neal said last night that Pete Golding had a lot of smoke to Ole Miss. He also heard Alabama’s CB coach and strength and conditioning coach might be trying to get out of Alabama. The only guy currently on staff that has a good chance to come back is Jacob Peeler the WRs coach.

What good did he do at Bama this year? None. He would be a step backwards.

Neal said something about Alabama’s strength and conditioning coach might wanna be on the field coach now like a TE coach. I’m not crazy about Pete Golding but he’s a very good recruiter and Bama did have a lot of injuries on defense this year.

Report: Lane Kiffin makes first hire for his Ole Miss staff
quote:
Per FootballScoop.com, Kiffin has already hired a strength coach, bringing over his guy from FAU, Wilson Love.
quote:
Love was a former Alabama player and has been with Kiffin at FAU for all 3 seasons. Prior to FAU, Love was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Alabama when Kiffin was the offensive coordinator. Kiffin has commented in the past that he saw Love jumping around at Alabama’s practice and talked to Kirby Smart about him. Love was apparently head-butting defensive linemen during practice, and that initially caught Kiffin’s eye in Tuscaloosa.

For a run first... second... third.... and fourth offense, our opponents still averaged a longer time of possession than us

What is the prevailing opinion regarding Wilson Love?
I think I’m just excited that Paul Jackson is finally moving on.

1. Read the article... Kiffin loves him and learned directly under Scott Cochran... dude definitely has a lot of the same energy
2. Even though PJ was getting to the point he needed to go, he has been good to us. Hope he flourishes wherever he ends up after this
