Lsu really did a number on yall didnt they. Youre totally right, the smokey mountains and appalacian trail are clearly an eye sore while people far and wide swoon to see northwest alabama.

No Mississippi State? List is shite
NC State should be higher. Or maybe it just seems worse compared to other campuses around North Carolina, bc all the other colleges I've visited in that state were beautiful

Whole lot of old Northeast and Midwest campuses on that list. A snapshot of an era gone by. New money is out west and down south. But wait until those states start taxing the homeowners more and more. And retail taxes increase.

You're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for this one. Pretty sure this article was written several years ago.
UTk campus has undergone major renovations since 2014. Looks completely different today. What doesn't help it is that it's bounded by 1) the Tennessee River and 2) the City of Knoxville, restricting it from spreading out and designing itself more efficiently. Topography also plays a role because it's so hilly there. It doesn't excuse the 1970s brutalist architecture, but hell, it makes the campus that much more difficult to design for walkability.

It’s a family website. A&M could not be ranked due to the amount of gay sex on campus.

I've only been to a few on this list (North Texas, Georgia State, Tennessee, and UC-San Diego)….but, I'm SHOCKED that they would include UC-San Diego, which is located in gorgeous (and expensive!) LaJolla! That campus is beautiful. They have some beautiful and unusual architecture on their campus, too. The others I mentioned I can go along with, though.
