Well story has it that the founder of Texas A&M had a well... peccadillo... for milkmen. Which is how we got a bunch of young men dancing around while dressed as milkmen.
It is very inclusive of Texas A&M that they have continued this tradition. Weird and kinky... but inclusive.

Tradition is one answer.. the real question is why not add female cheerleaders in a different capacity while still featuring/keeping the all male yell leaders in tact?
The real answer is A&M is "different", take that however you want, but to each their own.
