if Florida State can come up with 18 million to replace Coach Taggert
Auburn is not Florida State, and Gus is not delivering losing seasons. He's actually been good for Auburn IMO. He's kind of a douche, but not a bad coach and has kept the program relevant. He does some stupid shite from time to time, e. g. the timeout before the half this weekend. But it's Auburn. 8-4 perpetually aint bad.

I mean, they’d be guaranteed that if they didnt play Georgia every season. Let alone the fact they played Oregon and UF as well. 9-3 is about as good as you can get with that schedule and a freshman QB

AU fans know they stuck with The Gus Bus... unless someone HIRES him away.

Auburn's all time record is 774-444-47, good for the 18th best all-time winning percentage at .630
8-4 = .666
12 * .72688 = 8.7
Do you think Bama is a 9-3 program? Because the numbers say they're not even that good historically.
UGa's winning percentage is .65467. That's also less than 8 wins in a 12 game regular season.
Do you think they made a mistake firing a guy who averaged over 2 more wins a season than their historic norms?

To be fair, Georgia sits at .640 and they fired Richt with nine 10+ win seasons.
Auburn fans can't claim we're a historically 10-win program. But folks also can't say we shouldn't shoot for a 10-win coach because we're not a historical 10-win program.

LSU does NOT have Bama or UGA's roster and it remains to be seen just how dominant LSU will be after Burrow. That said, y'all probably win the natty this year and that could thrust you guys into next level status, maybe dynasty status. Obviously, that would be right past UGA. But as of today...y'all don't have their roster. I fricking hate UGA...to a slightly lesser degree, Alabama. Half my family is LSU fans though so LSU has always been my 2nd favorite SEC team. I'm rooting for y'all...but I don't have any delusions that AS A SUSTAINABLE PROGRAM, you have reached Bama levels...or taken the depth and roster steps forward that UGA has.

I don't know what else Gus can do.....he almost won a NC....has 2 SECC appearances with 1 win. Shug Jordan only won the SEC 1 time. Has beat Bama twice---probably 3 times after this year. Considering living in the shadow of the historic Bama run I'd say he has done pretty damn good.

Gus will be gone by December.
My estimation of the SEC Rant has plummeted.
If we make it through December.
everything's going to be all right I know.
It's the coldest time of winter,
and I shiver when I see the falling snow.
If we make it through December,
got plans to be in a warmer town come summer time.
Maybe even California.
If we make it through December we'll be fine.

Gus will be gone by December.A continuous 8-4 coach will not be tolerated on the Plains. 9 to 10 wins is the standard given the schedule going forward. We have Penn State, UCLA (Rose Bowl) and California in the future. We can do way better than this.
So who would be a better replacement? List them on here!

Serious question. Who replaces him?
