His announcement has been delayed. I updated the OP and will do so again when more is known.

Hilarious. This kid is a conductor and we are all swaying back and forth to his tune.

He has done a great job stringing multiple teams along during his recruitment. He all but forced Kirby to pass on Tank Bigsby because he assured us he was coming to UGA. Annoying as it is he has kept it entertaining at least

My honest opinion? If A&M can land E.J. Smith or Daniyel Ngata, I think we should pass on Evans.

It's not like he's the next Adrian Peterson, Derek Henry or Leonard Fournette.

You serious? That isn't what A&M and Texas fans had been saying for the past 3-4 years. There might be some new concerns about his attitudes and/or behavior, but he is just as talented as he was 6, 12, 24 months ago.

definitely one of the strangest recruitments ive seen. i suppose its more admirable than committing/flipping/decommitting/recommitting though

He is certainly a talent. It is sour grapes to say otherwise.

His emotional maturity is the biggest question. Whoever has the luck of signing him will have some work to do to keep him happy.

Not that I think we are still in it as much as we were preseason but after the Fields/Cox experience and having to deal with Pickens stupidity, I could do without any more guys who are more interested in being verified on twitter than playing football

It can be annoying, but what would UGA have been this season without Pickens?

He has produced some nice catches and some excitement for the fans but otherwise he actually hasn’t been as big a necessity to the season as, say, Cager. He’s much more important in Cagers absence as compared to having Cager available for most of the season.

That being said, Pickens is supposed to be a likable kid away from the field. I’m just tired of the immaturity from a few individuals in general dragging the team down. We are much better this year than we were last season in terms of childish bullshite but still a far cry from the leadership exhibited in 2017

I think it largely depends on your needs at the position. I mean, y'all really needed Pickens this year. Your running back room will still be full of talent next year, so the coaches can be in a position to tell the player they either have to fit in or not play. It's a lot easier to deal with a possible head case when you're in the position that you'll be fine without them.

Pickens leads UGA in receiving yards and TDs. For a team that has struggled to score points, I'd say he's been a necessity.
