Are we?

Could we be?

Another shut down defensive performance

Another blowout

Is it happening?

Team is completely different than last year. Players playing ball, not being drama queens!

Real defense instead of stupidly pressing all game.

Best thing is we just man people up for the most part. Very small amounts of zone. I like how this squad is coming together.

43 PPG allowed. Good for 3rd in the nation right now.

The effort from guys like Bailey is amazing. If we had Vanover cleared would consider this a bubble team for the tourney. Next year will be very very interesting.

It's been 15 years since Arkansas has held back-to-back opponents to under 50 points.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we're a bubble team THIS year and don't quite make it in. I know it's limited sample size but we'll only keep improving, and these guys play well together.

We won't sniff the tourney in the end, but I wouldn't be shocked if we spent some time on the bubble.

A 7' perimeter player isn't the difference for the roster, a two time loser in the random drug screening is.

Wouldn't be shocked at all if we make the tourney this year. Very good team defense and a core of older guards and forwards that can do a little bit of everything. We'll get exposed for lack of depth and no big man but we are easily one of the better coached teams in the conference by eye test so far. We're also fantastic from the line. 83% on 24 attempts from 6 different people tonight.

That tech was bullshite. Love the energy and attitude Bailey has brought. He really feels like an important part of this version of the team.

He pulled himself up on the rim, you're allowed to hang on the rim to protect yourself or other below, pulling up calls for a technical in the rule book, come on man...

I'm not saying it wasn't a tech by the rules. I'm saying the rule is dumb. If anything you're just slowing your trip back to the defensive end so you're already giving the other team an advantage. Just take the ball out and go. Tired of the removal of expression in sports.

God forbid I agree with someone else's opinion, right Dale? Go argue for the sake of arguing with someone else.

These guys are playing harder and hustling more than any team I've seen in awhile. Playing a lot smarter defense too.

I was worried about depth too and it will probably hurt us at the 4 and 5 but I think Musselman prefers to play with a limited roster of 6-7 players. Saw a press conference where he was talking about college guys being young and playing fewer games than the NBA and not needing a deep bench like in the NBA.

Something else I noticed tonight is the halftime adjustment from trying to get open on the perimeter (which just wasn't working) to focus on dribble penetration and attacking the basket.

I'm amazed at what he's managed to do just since April, especially considering half our team are transfers and are still getting chemistry together.

All aboard the Muss Bus, we ridin'!
