I'll admit this is the Bama defense I feel like I know least about.

After research, You guys have Surtain, Diggs, Carter and McKinney.

Is Surtain the clear #1?
Would S Smith be starting over Diggs this year if healthy?
Who is the nickel corner?

This group against our WRs is going to be a fun matchup to watch!

No, he's probably #2 behind Diggs.

Absolutely not. He wouldn't have been starting last year if Diggs hadn't gotten injured early. Diggs is going to be a 1st round pick next year.

Shy Carter

Diggs, Surtain and McKinney will all be 1st/2nd round picks in 2020 and/or 2021. They are very talented and experienced.

They have not been tested by a great offense yet, but they have put up fantastic numbers and have not gotten beat deep at all.

LSU has a great passing attack and in modern football it's impossible to "shut down" one of those, but I personally think it's the best DB unit you will have played this year.

LSU will go after Carter the same way Bama will go after Vincent

Bama is a lot weaker against the run. If I was a Bama fan id be a lot more worried about Helaire breaking out recently.

I wouldn't say I'm "more" concerned, but it certainly concerns me. A lot.

No.

Savion Smith would not be starting over anybody this year.

The secondary is the strength of the defense almost by default, as it's the unit with the fewest injuries and the true freshman safety we've had to play, Jordan Battle, has been really solid.

Very good. Diggs, Surtain and McKinney are all future 1st rounds picks.

Jordan Battle, a true freshman, is also a baller and future 1st round pick.

Carter is the weak link, but he is solid.

If Lewis and Jennings can get pressure on Joe, Bama's secondary will hold up.

Are you kidding? They’re Alabama, they don’t have weaknesses.

LSU currently is 60th in the country in passing yards allowed.

I think LSU needs to be worried about their own secondary.

Clemson should be worried about all those INT’s your girl is throwing.

Not opposed to giving up inexplicable receptions on 3rd & 15.

But they have also started turning and looking for the ball.

Just missing the Eddie Jackson/ Minkah Fitzpatrick impact player

All in all unless you have multiple high end NFL bound WRs they can cover any WR corps.

They've been dynamite lately & the main reason is Jennings & Lewis harassing opposing QB's.

Jared Mayden

Shy Carter from the first 4 weeks

Pass Interference

If you want a novella of Alabama weaknesses just ask about stopping the run and/or the front 7
