Say a really good coordinator job opened like in the nfl and he took it because he knew he was about to be gone to save face?

Nope, not a chance. We are gonna get fricked for 10 million buyout plus his 4 million salary. Someone called in the radio today and said Chad Morris is getting 27 grand per first down so far this season. Haha

Honestly, that would look worse than us firing him

He is a man going to work every day. He is drawing early retirement type income. He will give his 100% even if it is a broken and over his head 100%. He will have to be fired.

We would have to negotiate a buyout amount even in this situation were to occur thanks to our stupid BOT.
Him going to a smaller Texas college to coach Chandler I could see but our administration would have to pay a large chunk IMO.

Short answer. No. Jimmy Sexton is his agent.

No chance.
He took this job to get rich. He's not going to try to strike some "mutual parting of ways" deal. He's going to force our hand.

Settled buy out is a real possibility.
Don’t think he and his staff want to ride this out.

0% chance.
He, just like Bert, is going to tank and force a buyout and then milk the ever loving shite out of it.

If by leave voluntarily you mean take that giant buyout and walk out the door rich as can be... sure.
He's not going anywhere without that cash though. As others have said, until then he'll give this job everything he has. He's not a bad guy by all accounts, he's just a guy in over his head.

And with 1 arm tied behind his back due to an inadequate set of tools to go to work with.

And still hasn't announced the QB for the Bama game.
The tools are there, Hammer down doesn't have the skills to use them.

I could see this happening. Basically threaten to NOT fire him if he doesn't take a reduced buyout.

What NFL front office would look at his resume and say "I gotta have him"??
Hell no other p5 program would look at his resume and hire him. Only us

Regardless of what some think about our football program and Morris separately, it's almost a certainty this is going to be the highest paying position Morris ever holds.
No, Morris is not walking away from this level of pay voluntarily.
It's clear he's in over his head and doesn't deserve to be our head coach, but he's smart enough to collect the proceeds as long as possible and use our administration's stupidity to help open up other life possibilities for himself and his family.
You can't blame the guy either... that's like blaming John L. for crashing a Top 5 team into the guardrail.
The blame rested with the suits who put the guy there in the first place... those people should be publicly called out. But the PTB direct the media to deflect, and the ignorant unwashed masses continue to focus on the symptoms rather than the root cause.
Over
And
Over
Again
Stop talking about fricking Morris and help bring about a groundswell of discontent directed squarely on the people who brought the guy here in the first place.
That's how big boy programs are held accountable. Withdraw your support from the people who decide things in such a way that they can identify and feel it.
Ask One fricking Question - what do the people who put us in this mess care about that I can have an effect on, no matter how small, and regardless of whether it's a direct effect or not?
