But I'm not sure he'll play the whole game. I foresee Mac possibly starting, things getting dicey and Saban inserting Tua into the game.

He leads Bama to victory, it's his Heisman moment..

Maybe just wishful thinking from an old Bama fan..but you never know when the stars align for something special to happen in Bryant Denny Stadium

I’d just enjoy the win but LSU will likely be too much this year with a young defense and an injured Tua. But we can cheer and hope.

I was wondering about this

What advantage does the Tua injury give Bama (not meant in a negative tone, but purely questioning) Mac doesnt do v what Tua does...few do, but given that all the film on mac will come entirely from 1 game - next week. Does LSU plan for Tua? And fugure that would include Mac. I figure Bolden is the wildcard here that can really disrupt. Lean heavily on a run game bring in elements of wild cat back but with legit threat of throwing and Mac and the the 4 wide outs andb then...there is also the potential of Tua returning. i hope nothing is said more than " he's day to day"

LSU is gonna be blitzing and coming at him low whenever they can. I hope we can continue to feature the run game and not allow LSU to Tee off every time

I think his injury is more minor than some are leading everyone to believe. Nothing like last year.
It was about the same length of time to the OU game and he was as sharp as ever.

With Labryan Ray back and Barmore coming up, Alabama's defense > LSU's defense.

If Tua is going to play vs LSU, he will start. No point in not starting him and then putting him in the game.

And no, Bama will not beat LSU with Mac, unless the 2016 Bama defense takes the field or Joe throws 5 picks.

We need Mac to pass the ball early & often next week in preparation for the 11/9 game just in case.

No way this happens. If he’s injured enough to not start there is no way Saban inserts him into the game if Mac is playing bad. That would be a horrible look for Saban. I could see the reverse happening though if Tua was effected to the point from the injury that he was ineffective.

He was expected back after 6 weeks, which is the bye week.

What did you see out of Ray that makes you think he is a difference maker?

I think this will be our toughest test, but we should beat LSU with or without Tua. As good as they've looked I still think they're overrated (as are we). They were in a 4th quarter knockout with a Florida team that needed basically walkoffs to beat Kentucky and Miami. Texas just needed a walkoff to beat Kansas. Amazingly, their defense is probably even worse than ours, or at the very least equally inept without a disrupter on the edge. Mac isn't very good, but neither is Kyle Trask and he doesn't have our backs or wideouts. This will be the most hostile environment they play in all year, and there's still the mental aspect of playing against a team that's owned your arse for nearly a decade.

With Tua > 80% we roll. With Mac it comes down to late in the 4th. Don't underestimate the emergence of Terrell Lewis, they haven't had a player that can block him since La'el Collins was in school. The empty backfield shite will get Burrow rocked.

The ragtag group in 2007 pissed the game away in BDS on a late fumble. It's a mental game for them when the guys in red are on the other side.

I actually think we have a chance with Mac and your point about Lewis is valid. Now that he is 100% they have to block us staight up and can’t shift blocking to Jennings only. Lewis is coming I’m telling you.

If we can run it effectively, Tua will be protected and maybe we will disrupt their offensive rhythm. I could see us running for 200+ and Tau having a lower output but effective game......18-22 250ish yards with a couple of tds. I think this will be lower scoring than most think.......35-21 type game. I expect Waddle to have a big game too.

Flott and Vincent can be had. Whomever they start at nickelback will draw Jeudy the whole game, and they aren't going to trust that guy to cover Jeudy 1 v 1. That leaves Fulton and Stingley manned up with Smitty and Ruggs, and a dimeback on Waddle when we're in 4 wide. Like most every team in the country, they just don't have the personnel on defense to stop the big plays

Yes, we have 4 NFL ready receivers and no cf team has 4
NFL dbs on their roster. As good as LSU has looked, I'm still confident in a 2 score victory.

Wonder what Waddles receptions to td ratio is. Has to be high.
