Looks like another year with 2 or more openings this winter. Who would be good replacements?

Ole Miss - Luke's the stopgap guy to get OM through the Freeze sanctions. No clue who they try to replace him with if he's fired (another former Freeze assistant?)

Mississippi State - Joe Moorhead looks in over his head in the SEC. Puzzling hire...MSU could move on or JM could bolt for an assistant job in an easier conference.

Vanderbilt - Tough job at Vandy. Mason seems like a good guy but Franklin was much better. No clue who they go after if he's fired.

Wild card:

Auburn - AU has LSU, UGA and Bama left on the schedule. In the event they come out flat against Arky and lose those 3, I could see AU brass finally ready to move on. If this happens, AU might want to consider Lane Kiffin or PJ Fleck.

I will be run over by my Ole Miss buddies but I think Matt Luke will win the Houdini award this year and somehow escape a near certain firing.

If they knock off A&M, which is certainly possible given how up and down both teams have looked this year, then the Rebearsharks have a fairly decent chance of making a bowl game.

The bottom half of the SEC West is baaad this year and that has given Luke a new lease on life.

I would put Morris on the might be unemployed list as well. If he goes 2-10 in back to back seasons without a single SEC win it is going to be extremely hard for the AD to justify keeping him.

As much as I hate to say it, there is a greater chance of Ole Miss changing mascots (yet again) than Matt Luke being replaced this year.

He will be back. Powers that be want to keep giving him a chance because he is an OM lifer and "one of us". After the chancellor hiring and the terrible AD hiring that is sure to come I think they will take a year to reassess (haha j/k), not do shite, and ride the decline.

If Luke somehow manages to get Ole Miss to a bowl this year then the dude deserves not only another year but a bonus as well.

Worst job in the SEC right now with the sanctions he's had to face.

Morris & Mason are gone if their seasons continue to go the way the first half went. Mason for sure and Morris 2-10 two years in a row can’t be acceptable at Arky and if that is then they have bigger issues than just a HC that is out of place in this conference.

Luke beats Moo St this year and he stays one more year.

Motörhead to Rutgers

Moorhead isn't leaving a head coaching job in the SEC for an assistant job on his own. Why give up the $3mil/year plus buyout if fired? He can go be an assistant after that with fatter pockets.

Possibly as head coaching gig for same $.

Vanderbilt should hire the Tulane coach
Tulane should hire the Arkansas coach
Arkansas should hire Bob Stoops or Urban Meyer or Mike Leach

JoMO better haul arse to Rutgers if he's smart. His comments to Pawwwl this afternoon made his departure quite apparent. He is WAY over his head in the SEC West. Cohen needs to go with him... two shitty hires IMO.

I'm sure the powers that be will make Nick Saban their primary target though.

Maybe after he wins 7 at BAMA, not before.

Meyer won't take any job that is not on the verge of success. Leach wouldn't like the grind of the SEC West, with Bama, Auburn, and LSU to beat to sniff a conference title. Stoops? Who knows if he even wants to coach again?

Ole Miss isn't firing Luke. We would have to buyout Luke and the new coordinators and we have an interim AD and a brand new Chancellor.

Say it with me, GUSssss. Gus is gone. After LSU slams him, Georgia strangles him and Bama slaughters him, the Barners will shite can him.
