Thank God the SEC continues to force inequitable conference schedules for the sole purpose of preserving this matchup of the ages.

that wasn't the point of the OP. He's saying that it's the SEC's fault

But, whose fault is it that basically the entire framework of the conference is built around this stupid game?

Exactly. One of our East rivals was freaking Vanderbilt this year...

Tennessee is also the second most historic team in SEC. I’m sure they will bounce back. They are just down now. Just like every team has been in past

It's Bama's fault there has been no conference realignment to move Mizzou to the West and Auburn to the East where they both belong, or to do away with the permanent cross-divisional opponent. Alabama insists on playing both Auburn and Tennessee every year, which is a big "screw you" to the rest of the SEC.

It’s all good, guys

Going to Athens once every 10 years, while claiming they are in the same conference as LSU, makes total sense

How many times has LSU played Missouri since they joined in 2012? Once?

What a joke

I guess it would be Bama, Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee...it's not just the bama/Tenn game that caused all of this...Georgia and Auburn are a bigger rivalry

We just had a knock down drag out fight with the #7 team that's our SECE permanent opponent, and BAMA draws a 30 point underdog in theirs.

Yep...three cheers for the Third Saturday in October!

While I agree that it is ridiculous that the SEC has the "permanent" cross division opponent for this bullshite, I must say that I enjoyed last week and Saturday infinitely more than if LSU had played UT instead.

I get that it makes the road harder...but, thank Gawd we have a few games where there is big atmosphere and real anxiousness heading into it.

I agree to an extent. I'd be bored to tears if we had played a schedule like Bama this year.

Exactly. Sure, I'd take Clemson's schedule and the playoff. But, I ENJOY the big game atmosphere. So, since football is a weekly entertainment vehicle (for me), I'd choose to have a schedule more like LSU this year than either of Bama or Clemson.

Jeremy Pruitt is a Bama grad that worked for Saban.

What happened to the home-and-home with cross-divisional opponents?

Im ready for Florida to start sucking so we can have basically another bye week.

Actually...i take that back. This past Saturday night, playing an undefeated top 10 team in death valley was SO MUCH FUN!

It would suck if we had only 1 game a year to look forward to.

They are. They have a lot of history. Who else would be? We are really close though
