LISTEN TO YOURSELF :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
I am Lane Kiffin. I’m meeting with LSU Friday and signing the contract.
To be fair, I have not considered that. I will continue to not consider it, though.

Ole Miss trying to stop us:
Drinkwitz is the only one you mentioned that I agree with the criticism. Beats up on the bottom SEC teams, but cannot seem to win a game of importance outside the Cotton Bowl against an Ohio State team that did not have a quarterback.

Dilly getting criticism from people that lack context, and the unproven guys are always going to get the "hasn't been a HC" treatment from this board.

As little context as you provided here, this is actually a small thing that I believe matters to Lane. He hates how Ole Miss does not get favorable TV times when they are at home. LSU gets the benefit of so many night games.
I get the feeling that they'd be looking in a slightly different pool of candidates than LSU. There would be some overlap, but I doubt they'd go for Lane due to the timing. Could see them going for Dillingham. I'm sure the Texas faithful have some respect for Dilly after ASU nearly ended their season in the playoffs a year ago.
We hired Saban and Miles right around the age of 50. I think anywhere between 45-55 is a good age. Makes sure they've had enough experience to know how to lead, but also gives them enough time to stay around for a while.

With that being said, I'd still like the 35 year old Dillingham. Not often that a 35 year old has the amount of coaching experience that he does.
Wetzel has been an a-hole trying to paint coaches in a bad light for quite some time.

re: Don't overthink it...It's Kiffin

"Don't overthink it" is what people have been saying for weeks now regarding Kiffin. There's zero doubt that he is our guy, but the only question now is where does Lane want to be? Seems like he needs to be told "don't overthink it" given that LSU is pretty clearly the top option for him right now.

Belichick, but worse.
I would actually say he's Belichick but a little better. He's 11 years younger. Being a little better than Bill is not a high bar, though.

I wonder if they'd sort of force him out by getting his agent to go take a look at other jobs. They would not fire him. $61M buyout - not unobtainable, but I doubt Bama boosters are frustrated enough to pay that figure.

think this is more of a question of where will you get better coaching and competition rather than visibility. Lane Kiffin’s son will get exposure regardless of if he’s good or not.
I hope you see how quickly this is being downvoted and learn from this.
no one happier than the mchaters rn
I mean Toledo and FIU both beat them by about that much, so I think it’s fair. Will be nice to see this run game continue rolling.
Tried using ChatGPT to analyze who the best coaches in CFB based on expected wins vs. actual games won, but it ended up giving me what you'd expect ESPN to give as the top 5 head coaches (Kirby, Ryan Day, etc.)

3-9 year 1

8-4 this year
So you fault him for not turning a program around in year 1 at the age of 32, don't credit him with winning 11 games in 2024 and making the playoffs, and you're giving him an extra loss for 2025. I guess if you're just making shite up, you can believe anything you want.

The bottom line with Dillingham is that he's very very young with 3 years of P4 head coaching experience, and another 5 years of P4 OC experience. That amount of high quality experience at such a young age is extremely rare, and he's done quite well on top of that.
this does not say that knox followed bucholz. it says the opposite.
