Yeah, but its Army and a sunbelt schedule.
Lets see them do it to other SEC schools than Kentucky and Arkansas before we crown them.

UCA of the Southland conference beat WKU with their second year head coach earlier this year. Arkansas couldn't lose could they?

Hate it for him, but Storey just wasn't SEC caliber.

Correct, neither is Starkel nor Hicks.
So, 6 games in and we still aren't fielding an SEC QB.
That's sad coming from a so called offensive guru.

If we lose to WKU there's no way you let him finish this season. For the only wins in year two to be a close game against Portland State and a shootout with Colorado State...if we tolerate that I don't know how I'm supposed to care about the program as a fan. That would send a message about the leadership that I think would tank support.

you dont let him finish the night as coach if that happens. there is no reason to continue on from there I would imagine. we would have regressed for sure

Starkel does have an adequate SEC arm at least, just inconsistent. Don't know what was wrong with him vs. Kentucky, just never looked confident or relaxed. Wasn't using good technique.
We've seen him make some damn good throws and look pretty damn good. Then we've also seen him throw 5 INT's.

Bad Starkel>Good Starkel

Unfortunately he only had like a 5 or 6 passer rating against Colorado State.

One day our fans will learn that arm talent and velocity don't mean shite if you can't hit the right receivers. Also a million dollar arm is worth nothing when accompanied by a 10 cent head.

And 5 cent coaching

yeah starkel is not that smart most people easily graduate AM as fast as he did.
reality is hes played sec games and had success before. so the only thing that changed is who hes throwing to and who coaches him.
considering it seemed to be fundamental problems all the sudden it means coaching isn't getting it done in my opinion at least

It is fairly damning that the QB getting the least prep time has generally been the most effective this year. When Hicks was the starter he looked awful and Starkel looked fine in relief. When Starkel has been the starter he's been rotten and Hicks has looked good in relief.
If JSJ isn't taking any snaps in practice and is being ignored by the coaches during the week we should play him, he might not be damaged goods yet.
When it comes to QBs this the Morris coaching staff has the anti-Midas touch. Everything they touch turns to poo.

maybe he learned qb development from gus?

This.
It's like the one Craddock and Morris ignore progresses, while the one they focus on regresses.
Save for Colorado State, our backup has looked better than our starter in practically every game.
Maybe Hicks and Starkel just need to go off on their own each week and just rejoin the team on game day.

How bad does KJ suck to not even get a sniff of the field during all this?

At this point I'd preserve his redshirt and save him for the final four games in order for both him and JSJ to get game experience.

Given how poorly this staff has done with QBs he's probably the second coming of Peyton Manning.
