Good for him, he was wrong and apologized.

Said Davidson was a dirty player when it was just a football play gone bad.

Where did he say that?

He didn't technically apologize during it.
He clarified he didn't mean the Auburn coaches were dirty nor that the player was going for a dirty hit. Said he meant to say that play should be a penalty like targeting basically.

It was a hold by his OL. if there was no hold there would have been a clean hit never endangering anyone's knees

He said the officials have to do something to protect players from dirty plays.
He's literally correct

Mullen was asked by the sideline reporter at the start of halftime, as the teams were heading to the lockerroom, what he thought about the play that injured Trask, and he said he thought it was a dirty play....

He should just apologize for being an a-hole that likes to place blame on the officials every game. Why do you think I blame the officials for stuff. I learned it from the best, The Coach Dan Mullen

Dan tried to give Auburn that win on a silver platter and Gus refused to take it. Thank goodness he apologized for his errant remark.

I heard that. I thought he may have said something specifically about the Auburn player that I missed.
He's a prickly one, ole Dan Merlin. Always has been

Just trying to get a call for next time because he knows LSU is about to come after Trask

If that is what he said then he is a pussy and dishonest. The play already has a penalty in place. His tackle held and threw Davidson into the QB. His team benefitted from the non call.

I think you're kidding, but go back and look at film from Mullen killing LSU in StarVegas 2 years ago. Look at the number of personal fouls for LSU hitting Fitzgerald. Rest assured that Mullen had put those ideas in the refs minds before the game.

No, you see clearly you must be mistaken. Most players tackle the opposing QB with their hip first. It is a natural tackling motion. The UF OL had nothing to do with that.

So what you’re saying is.......he did not apologize for calling the Auburn player a dirty player.
So what I’m saying is.....Mullen is a POS for not doing so.

What the hell are the officials gonna do? Step in and take the hit themselves?
