He should, but he probably won’t.

4 losses and you're gone

Mediocrity shouldn't be acceptable

I don’t think he is worth what we are paying him, but I don’t think we fire him for going 3-3 against top 25 teams or even 2-4. I can’t name anybody else available who is worth paying Gus’s buyout plus a new salary.

Gus could have finally given us an end of the season/offseason without hot seat rumors but he went full Gus and here we are again

He stays if we lose all 4. Buyout remains a lot of money and there are no prime candidates out there that would come to Auburn, and, right now, they'd do just as good as Gus. No one except a really risky up n comer would come here right now. Only person I could see saying yes is Kiffin, and that's futile.

Gus stays and we hope he can keep recruiting only behind the titans, maybe finding a transfer/JUCO gem every few years, put us in the SEC title game once every five years, and in contention for a natty once every ten. We aren't tOSU, Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, etc. We just aren't. We're a top 20 team but not a top 5 team. Historically as well. And we will never recruit like they can.

Gus's biggest concern needs to be recruiting OL where we've been way below avg. I bet if our OL were all high 4*s right now, we would've blown them out today and have been a me to run like 2013. Declining OL talent has been his biggest problem since he's been head coach, bigly.

Just wish he would add a few plays to the playbook: throw short over the middle to the slot on drags, RB dumps, recruit a 6'6 TE safety valve like Notre Dame has. It's what young Bo needs to get comfortable when the bubbles are covered, and always throwing out far towards the numbers and slow developing deep routes way past the sticks with DL closing in is tough against a good D. He needs quick passes that aren't way the frick by the sidelines or bubbles.

Sidebar: Thinking tonight, I think Gus is bad on the road in loud stadiums because the offense can't get his play audibles communicated in time after they hurry up to the LOS and Gus/Dilly read the defense and signal it in. Just hit me. It'll be a problem in Red Stick.

Yes, it'll just hammer home the fact that Gus had let us be owned by other Big 6 schools. Okay, Saban and Bama have owned everybody and Gus has done better than most vs them. But the way LSU and UGA have owned us.

We've gifted the game to LSU the last two years when it was obvious both times we were the better team. If Gus was half as competent coaching on game day and calling plays as he was at recruiting and getting us talent then we would be on a 3 game win streak vs LSU and we missed the perfect opportunity to end the drought in BR in 2017. What's worse is that game sort of legitimized Orgeron at LSU and allowed them to get to this point

Gus's shite play calling and poor game plans and preparation also handed UGA two straight over us in 2015 and 2016 when it was also obvious both times we were the better team on the field. We would also lead the all-time series by 1 game as of right now if it wasn't for those two games and Georgia would literally not have shite to say to us

It's fricking unacceptable. Florida is a good team, but the way LSU and UGA have owned us should not be allowed to happen. And the loss to Pruitt's Tennessee in JHS last year should be fireable on its own, for my money that's the worst Auburn loss of the entire decade

Is Rhett Lashlee available?

Or do we go with Muschamp?

Or Kiffin?

This is all ridiculous.

We lost a road game to Florida.
Not a home game to a G5 or FCS bottom feeder.

Gus won't be fired for 0/4 unless the UGA and Alabama games are huge blowouts (and possibly not even then).

No chance he's fired for 1/4.

I would hold, if we took one and went 9-3. I would fire him at 0-4 and 8-4.

Gus needed a 10 win season this year with what looks to be a rebuilding year next year (6 or 7 wins).

I think they will keep him after going 8-4 and he will be fired next year after a six win type season.
