I believe AU can more then match Vandy

But just barely. As seen by only recently getting over the .500 make against Vanderbilt.

20-18-1 versus Vanderbilt.

Whom are you predicting will have the '16' in that score? Auburn right?

You are surely not suggesting AU will hold either to 16 right?

And winning by 28 with third string playing is always a struggle right?

Please reply and let us all know you're really not that stupid................

How is Auburn going to put up 40+ on Bama when they can't throw a forward pass?

Does Vandy have a pulse... Cause they put up 38

2 TD's came from our offense in garbage time. We had our second string front 7 playing the entire game.

Vandy can complete a forward pass unlike Auburn

Bo Nix has failed to show he's nothing more than a white RB. I think we'll be fine covering Auburn's glorified option attack. We were fine against Ga Southern

I’m still a bit worried about the defense but not because of the Vandy game. We had a ton of baws out.

A lot of Auburn fans counting on those garbage points and yards against LSU and Alabama to be indicative of the entire game.

If Auburn has 400 yards vs Alabama, it will probably be due to the fact that they were playing offense against our backups in the second half.

If Auburn has 40 points on LSU, LSU's already got 65+ and their D is exhausted from running back on the field so often after Joe is scoring in 4 and 5 play drives.

To be fair, so are a lot of Alabama fans.

The rationale goes like this:

"Vandy scored 38 on LSU, our offense is better than Vandy's, so we will score > 38 on LSU."

The problem with that line of reasoning is that it also leads to the false conclusion that Vandy's offense is better than Texas' offense since Texas wasn't even able to score 38 on LSU.

And LSU fans.

South Carolina had 13 points going into the 4th quarter, and scored with 11 seconds left. The got 169 yards and 10 points after Alabama had a seriously comfortable lead. That hasn't stopped the narrative that Alabama's defense is trash either.

Honestly, as much as we troll each other, the Alabama/LSU game is so far away that any attempt at a pre-game deep dive is silly.

I'd wager any game where Alabama's punter comes out on the field only once is likely a game they'll win easily.

Auburn's offense will get exposed. It's a gadget offense built on misdirection. The route concepts in the passing game is elementary. No real QB will be developed in Gus' system. Running game is a farce too.

24 points and 7 coming in absolute garbage time*
I mean really, "garbage time" started sometime late in the first quarter. No Tiger fans are happy with the defense's performance against Vandy, but there was clearly no sense of urgency after about 5 minutes of game time.

But whatever. I'll let these stupid aubies cling to it for a few more weeks. It'll make the imminent arse-thrashing in Tiger Stadium that much more devastating.

SEC West champion and CFP contender Auburn couldn’t win in Death Valley two weeks after Troy won there.

But THIS is the year, for sure.

I agree, same could be said of the LSU/Auburn game.

But then, this board wouldn't be so silly if people didn't draw wild conclusions from inadequate statistics. The margins of error are large, and the confidence factors are low at this point in the season.

Well, also we Alabama fans are looking at a tremendously back-loaded season. The first several games just don't look competitive. It's hard to get really psyched up during the week for a game where your opponent is a 31 (or such) point underdog. LSU's also a 3-4 TD favorite.

At least you guys got a good opening match. When it first looked like we would get Miami, at first I thought, "Should be a great game!" Then Miami eroded and it was, "At least they're a marquee name." Then they backed out and we got Duke. The best we could think was, "Well, their defense was good last year, so maybe we'll see if our offense is still humming after the off-season?" Not a lot to go with.

You guys get Florida in two weeks and Auburn before we play you. We get Texas A&M in two weeks, but no one else within 30 of us (line wise) until we play LSU.
