So, Auburn WAS underrated at #16, right?

Last time we had 5 seniors on the O-line was 2010 if that tells you anything. In fact, I think that year we had the most seniors starting (as a whole) of any AU team in decades.
But I am not predicting a 12-0 season. The road is too damn tough this year. UGA is much better now. LSU is better now. Bama is the same (just switched defense for offense).

We are kind of the old style Bama this year

Yeah. Nix reminds me of a McElroy type of player. Game manager who doesn't make mistakes. Not flashy in the passing game, but good enough to get it done when needed. Difference is Nix is a much better runner.

No, we were fine at 16.

Auburn most likely loses 2-5 games without him.

Same could be said if Malzahn wasn't calling the plays that year. What's your point.

Their toughest games are ahead. Georgia looks beatable, but LSU and Alabama has strengths that I would consider Auburn’s weakness...passing the ball.

Maybe a little. Probably like a 10-15 type team.
They still have 4 huge games in front of them.

I still think there is not one guy on are often sieve line that would start for bama, UGA, LSU, Clem, OU, or any of the super 6 teams But I do think that Gus is learning to work around their liabilities and call plays that take advantage of what they can do. That was evident in College Station this weekend.

Prince Tega is probably the only guy who'll even sniff the first day of the draft, and he's playing at less than 100%. This line bears virtually no resemblence to their 2010 counterparts.
I picked us to go 8-4 regular season. Think we got a fair shot at 9-3 now, but unless Gustav continues to find ways around our weakness up front, I can't see us doing any better.

Bump for additional arse patting.

War Buzzard will be in the CFP this year.
You heard it here first. Like, a few months ago.

You're not exactly correct though. In August 16th was about right. They did have some big questions and were starting a true freshman at qb in the sec. They've continued to win and move up accordingly.
When they lose to lsu UGA and bama and are in the mid teens again will you still be patting yourself on the back?

This week is the game that decides Auburn’s season trajectory.
Winning against Oregon, Texas A&M, and Miss State just ensured we were not going 6-6 or 7-5.
If Auburn wins on the road vs Florida - look out. Confidence will kick in and they will not go 0-3 vs LSU, Bammer, and georgia.
