Was that overall the most fun game we’ve had in years or am I just riding a post game high still?
I know in reality we still kinda suck but at least we didn’t look dead and suck. We were almost vibrant at times.

This evoked flashbacks of DMAC.
Those uniforms, #5 gashing through the line and splitting the safeties, long foot race to the end zone. Quite literally the only thing missing was a flex after the TD.
Definitely brought back memories.

I think it has more to do with how we finished the game

first game in a long time we played tough in the forth with both offensive and defensive highlights to finish the game.

I was streaming the game on the ESPN app on our Roku, so I was a few minutes behind someone watching live on cable. My father in law texts me right before the O'Grady play and says "damn did you see that."
At the time the game was in doubt and we were only up by 7, and they had momentum. My first thoughts were "shite this is probably a fumble or pick six." As the play is developing I'm like oh God he's going to fumble. That sinking feeling didn't leave me until he was nearly in the end zone and I realized something good actually happened to us.
Such is the life and sense of impending doom of an Arkansas fan.

What about a Halloween Bunchie? Surely you get all excited about trick-or-treating, wearing your Lord of the Rings costume, and candy

I use youtube tv just for this reason so I can participate in the gamethreads without being 2-3 plays behind.
I've noticed youtubetv seems to only be behind a few seconds.

I hate the espn app. Delayed stream.
Quit using it once they took the pip away

Yes on both. It felt even better because the game was tied and just felt like we were going to choke another game away. It felt great to see the players not fold and actually step it up in the 4th after the tie. Step in the right direction.

He actually did the flex in the end of the end zone

Hit nail on the head.
It's obvious we're still way, way bad... Especially on defense, but at least it was entertaining for probably about the first time in 3+ yrs.
It's alos obvious from those gifs that the entire Hicks charade is an almost fireable offense by the staff. You could say that they basically put loyalty ahead of winning.

IDK Jack... not claiming that we are almost there at all, but are we that far back from being relevant.
Concerning our players, Where are we lacking and really how much would it take.
I think we are closer than we look on the D, but need some youth to grow up fast, and some more recruiting/development.
On O, we are close... O line strengthened a bit, our WR's to continue to improve, Stark to get his timing down and learn the rest of the play book...

Starkel even said himself that he wasnt right in the head for the first couple of weeks because of his best friend Luke Laufenburg passing away on August 22.

TV guys said something that he admitted he was right mentally to come into the game. I didn't know about his friend, would explain allot. You don't rush people after stuff like that, nothing good will come of it if you do.
So maybe, just maybe, Morris was putting Starks long term well being ahead of football.... just as is the right thing to do. But I'm sure the bigger aholes haters won't care, just like all the bitching last year when Morris would go see his son play on Friday nights.
For those of you that can't see that these things are important compared to your football....
Well go f yourself!
