They look good, but one game doesn’t make a season

Well, now that LSU knows how to throw a forward pass, Clemson has laid the foundation on how to beat Alabama in the air.

It will be interesting to see how that game plays out.

lol these people need to pump the brakes. Had Burrow thrown for 350 and they ran for another 150...then I think we can have a conversation.

But Burrow being the entire offense and no run game to support him won't get him far once we hits the tough stretch of the season.

I know, I know...they have to keep the hype for the clicks.

the whole country has been waiting for us to have an offense.

The narrative for years has been "if only LSU had a QB..."

Media is excited .

LSU with a competent passing offense is like Happy Gilmore learning how to putt.

Beat them in the air? UA has arguably one of the best secondary's in the country. The threat of Etienne and a few circus catches for the Tigers is what beat them.

Ross and Higgins are good, but some of those catches they straight pulled out of their $$$.
Clemson D was stout as well, probably better than they will be this year.
UGA threw for 300+ and didn't hold on. Being able to throw helps...but it's only part of the equation.

Now because we are a "pass first" offense, not having a running game is going to hurt us... Cant win lol. I think LSU can run the ball fine, and I think we see a more balanced attack the next 3 games. However, we are throwing with ease right now... Just because the play calls arent run plays, does not mean we can't run. Just pass happy now. CEH is averaging over 5 yard per carry.

Clyde ran for 87 yards on 15 carries (5.8 ypc) and a TD. Not show stopping, but not bad.

So they've got Alabama backdooring into the playoffs again? Even after LSU wins the SEC.

I'm cool with it. Bring em on.

50/50 ball with those guys are more like 80/20. We won doing the same thing with Mike Williams in 2016. When you have the NFL caliber WR's we have then you throw them types of passes. If LSU has WR's like that then they should do the same.

The Tigers can drop one game in their next 10—likely at Alabama on Nov. 9—then waltz into the Playoff as long as the SEC East champ has two-plus losses. Defeating the Longhorns can make up for LSU’s potential absence from the conference title game.

It's not about pass first, it's about balance.
The Texas D is unproven after losing so many starters and LSU didn't run for more than 100 yards as a team. Now, if Texas shows through the year they are better than expected, then this win sticks out even more. All TBD. But Burrow took #2 spot for rushing attempts, no Emery sighting.

If y'all can run through the schedule passing only, more power to you. I just see the Alabama's of the world being able to match up with that and making you 1 dimensional and not by choice.
