Just to give you an idea, 2008 UF is #67 and 2018 Clemson is #5

Gator football did not exist till Pell in the 80's

Tater football did not exist till Dabo got there

Seems from a time perspective, Gators should be higher and Taters should be lower. If Taters are #5 then Gophers should be in Top 10. They won 3 of the first 6 MNC's in their era.

So that championship Clemson won in the 80’s is fictional?

How is 2004 USC at #2? Don't get me wrong. They were really, really good but they had a bunch of close games that year. No way they were better than 1995 Nebraska and 2001 Miami.

I gotta agree with ya there, I'd love to have seen USC try and stop 95 Nebraska or the 01 Canes. I think either teams beats them by double digits. Two greatest teams I ever seen since I been alive

9 turnovers @ Taterland, still only lost by 10 points

Not fictional but if Dawgs quit turning the ball over that day, they would have the MNC, not the Taters.

Without looking it better have 95 Nebraska as number 1. That team was unstoppable.

Also 08 UF was way, way better than that ranking that is almost insulting. That coaching staff was elite, every aspect of the team was elite, had on of the best QBs in college history...what more can you ask for lol

It’s ridiculous to compare teams from before (let’s just say) the 1970s to modern teams, but in the spirit of what espn tried to do, its bullshite they left off 1917 and/or 1919 A&M who were both undefeated and gave up ZERO points on their respective seasons.

They are 4
71 Nebraska is 1

The Huskers held 10 of their 13 opponents to seven points or fewer. Only No. 2 Oklahoma scored more than 17.

And a team that gave up 20 points in a season is 149th on this list lol. Our 62 team being ranked above the 59 team is even more laughable. 59 would have smoked the 62 team.

No MsState on the list... This is BS. There is no way in hell the 1891 Yale football team would have beaten the 2018 MsState Bulldogs.

Anyone think the 01 canes should be higher? That team had so many NFL players on it. Some can argue they might be #1

That 08 Florida team was loaded. #67 is a joke

2001 Miami at #7 is not quite as bad but they should be top 3 at minimum imo

Could have had 3 in a row but like all things UGA the ball didn't bounce our way.
