Really can't stand this guy.

I’m not big on fat shaming because if we’re being honest we all know and love some fat people and probably don’t want to see them being hurt. Sometimes taking control of yourself is a very daunting task

That’s not to say people don’t need to eat better and exercise more (myself included on that one, I suck in the summer when it’s this damn hot).

On the flip, I will occasionally see a commercial or video etc and laugh to myself thinking no wonder we have such an obesity problem. An example would be last week, I saw a video of someone making a typical pecan pie so crust and sugary goo with pecans, then once it was baked, it was cut into slices and dipped in batter and deep fried! I think 2 arteries clogged just watching it.

If we're being honest, we are all being penalized fiscally by insurance companies because of these fat asses. frick their feelings, they are wasting my money.

While it is easy to blame the fat people for being fat, perhaps it is the culture

#1 We have food companies making BILLIONS selling us salt and sugar
#2 We have more processed foods than home made foods
#3 We have commercials showing food 24 / 7 / 365
#4 We have TV and cell phone dinners, not family dinners (slower eating and social interaction)
#5 We have a society cocooning instead of venturing outdoors
#6 We have eliminated corner groceries (shopping for few days) for supermarkets (bulk shopping)

When I was a kid you were out of the house before sun up and were not expected back home till sundown and suppertime. We had a Great Depression and World War (imagine your local supermarket with only 10% to 15% of the shelf space filled) and lean times meant lean people. We were a agricultural and manufacturing economy so workers stayed fit on the job doing their job.

100 years ago fat and white was a sign of wealth as you were well fed and not outdoors doing labor to get a tan.



100 years from now we will be the fat people from Wall-E because we will have lost touch with real food and the real outdoors.

Here's an insane concept... some people, in general, aren't funny or witty, Maher being one of them. He does/says a lot of things just for attention and a paycheck.

I'm so tired of having to accept fat people and tiptoeing around their obese, soda-slurping children
