And I certainly wish all those affected by Dorian the best. But a breather game might be what they need to reset.

If it's cancelled, Bama will be next on the Gamecocks' schedule. That's followed by @ Missouri, Kentucky and @ UGA. Unless the Gamecocks get off the mat, that could be an 0-5 start.

Given the current state of their mutinous fan base, would Muschamp survive such?

I don’t really care but IMO Muschamp belongs in the SEC

His buyout dictates that he will remain at USC for the foreseeable future.

There's absolutely nothing we can do about it. He stays until he is tired of this, or his buyout becomes more reasonable - 2021 or 2022 at the earliest.

That is a nasty stretch there.

I fear that Muschamp is in trouble; they had to have that UNC game with their schedule. I do think they take at least one of those games but a 1-4 start would put them behind the 8 ball.

Bad break for South Car. They might need this game to get to a bowl game, if it comes down to being 5-6 or 6-6.

We aren’t going to a bowl game regardless of this game

1.) the storm will almost be in VA by 2 AM Friday morning so why would you think we’d cancel our game Sat.??

2.) the only remaining teams on our schedule who’ll beat us are Bama, UGA, clemson, A&M, and probably UF.

But just to play along, yes.... if we start out 0-5 he’d be gone this year. No matter how expensive it would be to let him go at that point, it would cost us more in the long run to keep him onboard.

We’ve punted on 2019. This is Muschamp’s last season.

Mizzou is bad, as is UT and Vandy. UK isn’t close to what they were last year, and Bentley plays better at home. If we beat those teams it means our bowl chances will hinge on App St, which is actually kind of a toss up.

So as usual Muschamp will beat bad-average teams that he can outman(as long as they don’t have a good coach). And he’ll get beaten by all the good teams on his schedule. Outsiders will look at 6 wins and say”hey...that isn’t too bad with that schedule”, but what they fail to realize is that he’ll be through year four with only one legit win on his SC record. Still, it’ll be enough to calm the waters and keep a top 20 recruiting class. He’ll enter 2020 needing signs of progress, which I’m not sure he’ll be able to accomplish.

Hurricane Dorian. At one time there was a projection of it hitting the lowcountry, or passing close enough that heavy flooding, storm surge, and winds would occur regardless.

Actually Columbia is only a touch over a hundred miles from Charleston, so with a big one we get a monsoon and heavy winds too.

Right now I don't think it is projected to be as bad as they thought it could be, but my niece had her classes at Coastal Carolina cancelled this week.

If they cancel it...it will be because the SEC doesn't want to be embarrassed yet again this week.Bentley will stink it up against another inferior foe...

Yeah, I'm past my five stages of grieving though.

Tell ya what, let's just have fun with this. While we weren't paying attention Tanner put us in a situation with no options.

So let's just see how stupid it gets.

As of now, projections show Storm will be passing by Charleston at 0200 on Thursday, so unless it changes course and direct hits the Lowcountry, the game will go on, and Sc will get a much needed win.

If it's canceled, totally understandable. From what I've been watching, by the time it reaches S Carolina it will have weakened some, but Dorian is a huge, angry, historical storm. I just hope it veers off away from the coastline.
