Why Hasn't Mike Leach Been Hired By An SEC School?

Seriously, why? He's a damn fine coach, and has an IDGAF (that's a good thing) type of interesting personality to boot.
So many SEC schools hired new football coaches recently, but Leach wasn't hired at any of those schools. I just don't get it.

Vols should've hired him but Jabba the Fulmer wanted someone he could control, so he went with Conehead.

Because Tennessee is really dumb. We’d rather go 5-7 or worse every year if it means recruiting will look better on paper.

I wouldn't want him at Alabama.
He's the kind of coach that can win some football games, but he's not the kind of coach that can keep a team focused in the long run and he's never going to be a championship winning type coach.
Some schools could do better, but most are delusional in their expectations.

Maybe they don’t want to hire a driver for him since he doesn’t have a drivers license.
