Try Madison, the people with good jobs and work Huntsville tend to live in newer subdivisions in Madison, and in the county. The suburbs if you will. The ones that actually live in Huntsville are now mostly the blue collar workers.

I chose Huntsville because it’s the fastest growing metro in the state and would be a good spot for a pro team if you were projecting over the next few decades and compared it to the pro team in Louisiana that actually does play in a shithole, corrupted city

I get that. I was just pointing that Huntsville median income is skewed because of the suburbs. It is actually better in the surrounding areas in the county. I think we still need more decades of growth to support either a nfl or mlb team.

To honestly answer the OP s question, the metro areas in Alabama all fall just outside the top 30 or so it takes to qualify as a legit chance of getting a pro team.
Other similar states are like SC, Iowa, Kentucky, and others. None have that one big city and little else like Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, Massachusetts, etc. have

A ML baseball team competing against the Braves would be Iron Bowl/DSOR type drama though. The Alabama Vulcans. Hire the Rec to figure out how to cheat on the salary luxury tax cap using Auburn bagmen.

I've been saying for a few years now that an NBA team would kill it in Birmingham, I think the locals would show massive support
