He has an LSU problem first and foremost.

He could be in serious trouble early on for sure. Oregon game is not going to be an easy one. Their Oline is damn good and their QB is a first rounder. Gus better get that offense together quick for Auburn.

I think they upset Bama at home this year putting him back on the cold seat

Close to $30m buyout for gus and his staff. He isn't getting fired.

Gus will win 7 games. Just enough to stay on the hot seat, but not lose his job. If he wins 8, AU will give him an extension.

Haven't you heard? The SEC is screwed.. We're starting a true freshman at QB even though we have the toughest schedule in the nation this year.. Plus his name is Bo. This means he HAS to be a complete badass.. Kind of like Trevor Lawrence at Clemson last year, amirite?

Will State or Florida even be able to score?

Totally agree.. if a coach, any coach, loses to MSU 2x in a row it's pretty damning. Good point MSU coast

@ A&M and @ UF could be challenging games for Auburn, but MSU at home won't be, imo.

If he does I sure hope they have Bill Clark already inked to a deal.

Gus has one or two games that he self destructs in every year. Unless its Arkansas. Gus would rather lose to Georgia and Alabama and beat Arkansas then the other way around.

Yes, yes, I know that doesn't hold true for Auburn fans. I am not saying y'all believe that, I am saying Gus does.

Could Gus have one of those self destruct games against State? Sure. He could also win by a few TDs. You never can tell what team you are going to get when Auburn comes on the field.

If he loses again to Miss State he should and probably will be fired.

Auburn is a tough one to predict this year. They could somehow luck their way to a 10 win season or tank and go 5 wins and good bye Gus. Nice wildcard pick.

Not losing to State’s sorry, broke-arse...but yeah, if that happened, he certainly ought to be gone. You realize this doesn’t speak highly of your program, right?

Why would he get fired for beating those three teams?
