We don’t, but we do know he’s obviously a way better athlete. I doubt he will be as good in terms of blocking, but he will be more of an athlete in space when needed.

He’s closer to Mario Fannin than Eric Smith or Jay Prosch.

Totally agree. Exact same thing I said

I wanted Gus to run that play just one more time soooooo bad. Then I wanted it to go for about 60 yards.

That would probably bring the net yardage to about 0 for that play and it would all but guarantee that we would see it 5 times a game from there on. So shut your whore mouth

that play was probably going to the house.

If he had handed off to Franklin, it may have scored.

He would have got tracked down from behind, and stepped out of bounds to avoid contact

Look at that graphic.

We had one rushing yard in the entire 1st half.

Anthony Schwartz injured his hand during a blocking drill. Severity unknown until an evaluation is done, but the staff doesn’t seem too worried about it for now.

Getting little worried about the injuries.

Marcello hinted at a QB making a move. Anyone with access see which one he is talking about?

Sounds like it's Nix job to lose. Expect an announcement by the end of next week at the latest.

Have a link?

The article talking about naming a starter possibly sooner than later was rehashed speculation.

This. The one I saw had a rehash of stuff then listed the past years dates when a starter was announced.

Most of the time the announcement came around Aug 15-25

Must’ve missed the article. The most important part:

the first day in shoulder pads Sunday provided one little nugget on the quarterbacks: Nix “is playing so well right now," one insider told Auburn Undercover.

The quarterbacks were "fine" throwing passes during their first day in shoulder pads since April, but Nix was more polished and refined, we are told by two insiders.

Article also mentioned Shivers was making big plays running and catching the ball.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Nix is throwing better. But until Joey is able to run, then he’s not able to show his entire skill set.

Yeah, I can pretty much tell you now that Gatewood will never be as polished of a QB as Nix.

If the competition is based on that, use those Vegas odds predicting Gatewood and buy yourself a boat.

Exactly. Until we have a live scrimmage, any reports that QB XYZ taking a lead of the competition is probably pretty meaningless.

Marcello corrected the report that Joiner will be a FB. He will be a “4 back” which is what Boobee, Kam Martin, etc plays, and thought he heard full back.
