Pretty cool. UF was in DFL as recently as 1960. Crazy

Ole Miss being 2nd for a time into the 60s is another crazy one.

The gaps being increased or decreased is pretty interesting to see. Obviously LSU in the 90s is one that’s apparent to LSU fans.

Alabama taking the lead from Tennessee for good around 1975, then Tennessee almost catching up around 2007, and Alabama then hitting the accelerator the last decade was a pretty good subplot in your graph. Pretty cool visual representation.

Tennessee had not fallen below 2nd place in wins since basically the beginning of the AP poll era until Georgia just passed them last year I think.

There were times when it looked like OP's animation was stuck if you just watched Vandy's number.

Wow, the 50s, 60s and 70s were rough on MSU. Top four in the league until then.

I wanted to go back to 1869 because Vandy would have had a nice stretch towards the top. Would have been really interesting to see imo.

If anybody wants to do it, I’ll gladly send the data from this project your way.

Gee. Thanks

And for OP:

I'm not sure if that would make me feel better. Watching that lead built up until 1925ish go down the drown would be utterly demoralizing.

Understood.

Could always take the angle “we won when football was a real man’s game.”

The incompetence of South Carolina football cannot be understated. God bless the Gamecocks.

I don't know why you made Auburn's bar color green and gave blue to bama, but I'll allow it since green is my favorite color.

What software did you do this in? It's pretty cool.
