Not to jump down a never ending political hole but didn't a lot of it start with Jindal? Or was that just coincidental that he was in office when energy revenues began to decline?

Hate to say it but much of Louisiana woes came from Bobby Jindal. Facing the same thing in Mississippi from Tate Reeves.

That would be a very cutting remark... except from what I can gather this all started when Bobby Jindal was Governor and the Republicans controlled the legislature.

Now, for the record, I am not saying that Louisiana Republicans are worse than Louisiana Democrats. I'm saying there is a good reason when you type in Louisiana politics it autofills to Louisiana politics corruption.

Normally i would agree, but Jindal is responsible for this. He put his presidential ambitions first, and he destroyed the state's fiscal standing to appease certain political group's scorecards. A similar situation happened in Maryland. In both cases, their successor is of the other party in states that shouldn't happen
