Any recommendations on using a portable dish versus a chrome cast/iPhone? Doing some research into options but wondering if anyone here is well practiced already

Never done SAT TV but have done streaming with a Verizon Mi Fi/Sling Box and Smart TV.Make sure you get a good spot for Mi-Fi reception (4 bars or it's not very good)

Streaming worked surprisingly well as opposed to 2 or 3 years ago.

I have seen both but as long as you have access to strong WiFi or good cell signal I would think streaming would be much easier from a setup standpoint alone. Sling TV and the Chromecast/FireTV type devices work great

I have used a satellite dish set up for 20 yrs or so. Used to use a deep cycle marine battery and power inverter because it was silent but have since moved on to a generator and the King Flex portable dish.
