The Tigers scored first with at least 10 wins in a season in 1908.

Other SEC schools and when they had their first 10+ win season...

Texas A&M - 1919
Alabama - 1920
Tennessee - 1938
Mississippi State - 1940
Georgia - 1942
Kentucky - 1950
Ole Miss - 1955
Auburn - 1959
Missouri - 1960
Arkansas - 1964
South Carolina - 1984
Florida - 1991
Vanderbilt - has never won 10 games in a season (has won 9 games 4 times...1904, 1915, 2012, 2013)

SEC schools with the most 10+ win seasons in their history (Oklahoma and Alabama are tied with 38)....

1. Alabama - 38
2. Georgia - 24
3. Tennessee - 20
4. LSU, Florida - 15
6. Auburn - 14
7. Arkansas, Texas A&M - 12
9. Ole Miss - 7
10. Missouri - 6

LSU was first in 1908 and has only managed 14 more in the next 110 years?

OP created this thread just so they could low key brag about being 2nd place in most 10 win seasons...

Really, a couple surprises...
quote:

Tennessee - 1938
quote:

3. Tennessee - 20
Tennessee got started kinda late, and has been shut out for almost 2 decades. Yet for the longest time, they were the consensus 2nd best team in the conference... remember they got the overall series with Alabama very close before the wheels fell off.

Florida - 1991

4. LSU, Florida - 15
Florida basically did nothing until Spurrier got there, then erupted.

Arkansas - 1964
That's a shocker... I thought they had more history than that. I remember them being a legit power in the SWC.

Wrong. Alabama has 38 through 2018. OU has 39. Alabama would be tied with OU had not 2005 been vacated.
