I think this one is too close to call. What says the Rant?

Ed Orgeron doesn't try to push his son as the starting QB.

Hard to judge. LSU has a talent gap right now which could mask EO's ability a bit. I'm resigned to giving Chad some time to fill in his own gaps.

Or just need more data to determine; I’ve neither written Chad off nor am I compelled to tout his abilities.

(Did I use the semi colon right? Does anyone know? )

Edward is learning. He knows what it takes to win in this league and has recruited at a high level and surrounded himself with staff that knows x’s and o’s better than himself.

To compare him to Chad Morris is too premature because of the sample size. Also, Arkansas is at the bottom of the barrel right now talent wise so until he brings in some recruiting classes, you can’t compare the coaching.

Despite this being a butthurt thread over LSU from an A&M fan, they are probably the same considering the amount of talent they have compared to their results.

Though the jury is still out on Morris,I don't think O would do any better here than he did at ole miss so I don't want him as a coach here.

He should do ok at lsu as long as he keeps the talent coming in.

And why can't lsu develop a qb?I've never understood that.

O would fall flat on his face if he were not in a recruiting hotbed w/ high priced DC and OC, so yes.

Is arky ranked in the top 10? Where is his recruiting class ranked? Not that these are the only criteria but it helps

Hmmmm, tough question.

I'll definitely have to give Coach O the advantage in recruiting. He recruited well at Ole Miss, and even though it's not exactly hard to recruit well at LSU, he's recruited well there.

But his results haven't really been at that same level. He under performed at Ole Miss, he's under performed at LSU.

Bookmark this thread and come back this coming Thanksgiving, and I'm betting the majority of LSU fans will be wanting a change.

On the other hand, not much to really say about Chad Morris. Has potential? Doesn't recruit better so far, but did improve SMU from one of the worse teams to a bowl eligible and had them going in the right direction.

I want to pick Coach O. I think he leads simply because he has more experience and at least recruits well. But I think this is his last year, so it's not a very strong pick and I could easily see Morris being better before it's said and done.

Leaving out partial seasons as interim head coach, one has two bowl appearances and two ranked finishes in 5 seasons.

The other is still looking for his first P5 win after 4 years.

So yeah, pretty close.

Orgeron is 100’s better recruiter. As long as LSU is loaded with 4 and 5 stars and Arkansas roster is full of 2 and 3 stars, Arkansas will never consistently beat LSU
