Complete fricking weirdos?
I've met one or two over the years and they weren't quite right. Socially inept, aloof and kinda aspergery.
Any of you fellas into that civil war cosplay? Do the chicks dig it?

And you always know what side they want to be on...

I knew a guy who did it in HS. He was actually pretty normal, albeit a bit of a square. I think his parents got him to do it. But he seemed to have fun. Definitely weird, but whatever. I enjoy some weird shite myself.

Feel the same way about people who follow the WWE.

I only know one guy who does it, and he's mostly normal. He has a wife, has other hobbies, although they generally seem to be history related.

At least they are not taking pictures of trains.
Revolutionary War re-enactments are better.

I know several people who do it here in SC and they're all amateur history buffs who have a disdain for much of modern society. They're all good people imo.

Is there live ammo involved ?

I knew one who went to jail for banging his big-chested 14-year-old stepdaughter. No pics for obvious reasons. Not that I have any pics anyway.

Tony Horwitz passed away last week. He wrote “Confederates in the Attic”. Before you say ‘Book Board’, it was a book about his participation with reenactors in South Carolina. He was from NY. It’s a very entertaining read. He admires the commitment of the reenactors; some going as far as starving themselves to look like emaciated Confederate soldiers. I recommend reading it if this topic interests you.
