C’mon! UT is good. Don’t put too much stock into 1 game. It’s a long season, and it’s not over until the last post-season game.
Bama is good, too.
We’ll win a lot of games, but 17 or 18 wins will be a good record in the SEC this season.

Hey, Paper Tiger. I agree with you about Ben. And he’s the perfect counter-part to Rollins’ folksy play-by-play.

I second what cubsfan said - spoonful of creamy peanut butter.
My wife told me once and I laughed it off as an old wives tale. But I finally tried it after a particularly long episode and it worked within seconds. It has worked every time that I have tried it. Maybe a dozen times over the past 20 years.

re: Where to get actual Cajun food in Louisiana? Recommend some spots please.

Harry Boutte gave you the correct answer. When I read the title of this thread, I thought of Poche’s.
A great market for stuffed and seasoned meats with a lunch counter of authentic cajun food. I particularly recommend the back strap stew. But there’s good pork and beef in brown gravy, and crawfish etouffe, or shrimp stew. All good.
As Cajun as Evangeline.

“Most overrated band in history“
When I read the thread title, I thought to myself, how long will this take to get a negative reply.
The first reply-6 minutes!
I believe that there’s a significant number of posters on this board who are immediately contrary to any statement, no matter how benign.

Gaucho,
You refer to “a peaceful country where everyone was happy…”
I’m sure that you’re referring to the Confederate stares. But there were 3.5 million or so slaves who probably disagreed with your assertion. They weren’t happy and in many cases were oppressed violently.

The BP money runs out in6-7 years. We need funding to operate and maintain the diversions that have been built, especially the Mid-Barataria diversion, if the lawsuits don’t stop it.
BTW, at this time the Feds aren’t sharing any of the wind farm lease or royalty money with the states. There is pending legislation in Congress to share it, so this is aspirational. But, it’s not taking any existing funding away from the state general fund, if that’s what you’re worried w.

When I read the thread title, I heard in my head,
“i’d like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony!
I’d like to buy the world a Coke,
And keep it company”

re: Well, you just heard it out of the mouth of Nick Saban. LSU was not prepared for Reed.

But we had to prepare for running QBs several times this year. Our defense couldn’t remember what we did all those games? I think that’s what Kelly talking about.
That being said, it falls on the coaching staff to reinforce that on the sidelines. Should’ve been better all around.

I was going by memory and looked it up after I posted. My mistake.

I don’t like the all-white look. In fact, I generally don’t like the color wash or all same color uniform combinations.
I like our traditional gold helmet, white shirt and gold pants, and our purple jersey option.
I would like to see a game that uses the baseball team’s Sunday color pattern- purple helmet, yellow-gold jersey with white pants.

I remember a couple years ago, playing an afternoon game against Auburn. Very hot, humid, little cloud cover.
By the 4th quarter, the sun had set enough to put our bench in the shade, but Auburn had their faces to the sun with their dark navy blue jerseys. I think it was a factor in our 4 th quarter comeback.
