Copyright infringement stuff. Like playing “old town road” during the spring practice hype video. Probably have to have a license for it.

Was it edited in, or just playing in the stadium in the background of the video or something? Bc if it was edited in then whoever added it without thinking about copyright infringements is an idiot

Most major twitter accounts these days are verging on the edge of suspension. There’s a sub-industry of lawyers that go around and take payments for their clients to rescind their copyright violations.

Still seems like a pretty big frickup. I believe there’s a number of other similar violations there if they’re finally suspended.

Why Auburn football's Twitter account is suspended

quote:

Auburn is among several Power 5 football programs to have its Twitter account suspended this week for breaking the social media network's terms of service.

The Tigers' account, with nearly 350,000 followers, was suspended Monday. The reasoning? Those ever-popular hype videos utilizing music from popular artists of the day.

An Auburn spokesperson confirmed there were a "few prior posts that contained copyrighted music." Auburn is working to clear up the issue so that it may resume tweeting to fans on the popular social media platform.

quote:

Auburn has a team of employees developing content for its social media platforms on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and Facebook, but it's believed only the football program's Twitter account has ever been frozen due to a copyright claim.

quote:

Twitter's copyright policy is below:

quote:

Twitter responds to copyright complaints submitted under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”). Section 512 of the DMCA outlines the statutory requirements necessary for formally reporting copyright infringement, as well as providing instructions on how an affected party can appeal a removal by submitting a compliant counter-notice.

Twitter will respond to reports of alleged copyright infringement, such as allegations concerning the unauthorized use of a copyrighted image as a profile or header photo, allegations concerning the unauthorized use of a copyrighted video or image uploaded through our media hosting services, or Tweets containing links to allegedly infringing materials. Note that not all unauthorized uses of copyrighted materials are infringements (see our  fair use article for more information).

If you are concerned about the use of your brand or entity’s name, please review  Twitter's trademark policy. If you are concerned about a parody, newsfeed, commentary, or fan account, please see the relevant policy  here. These are generally not copyright issues.

No different than when Auburn ruthlessly "protects their brand"

I'm probably in the minority because a lot of ppl don't like them but, I think Believer by Imagine Dragons would be a good tunnel video/hype song.
