And that was in a era when there was no internet, no click and buy. You had to get your lazy arse up and go to the record store to buy it. With todays technology and buying power, there is no telling what it would have done

Im not sure there will be people listening to Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan's music 50 years after it was made. Not sure there will be hundreds of tribute bands playing that music 50 years after it was made either. But I know that is the case with Floyd and their music will live on past you and me.
Im really not sure how to gauge what is considered "good" if that is not it.

I listen to some other stuff. Just not country. I grew up with it but never really aquired a taste.
