Go back to divisions. Alternate Tournament Hosts between East and West Division winners every year.

I like it at Hoover but would love it in Birmingham

Regions Park is very nice. I would prefer it over Hoover.

Im not saying Hoover sucks, but it's old. Time to spice up the tourney site! More hotels/restaurants/bars within walking distance.

something something about RV parking. This comes up every year, but the baseball tournament should rotate between something like Autozone in Memphis, Coolray Field in Gwinnett GA, Zephyr Stadium (Shrine on Airline
) in Metarie LA, Regions Field in Bham, Dell Diamond in Round Rock TX, and First Tennessee Park in Nashville....or some combination of some of these.

The reason this will not move is the ease of parking at The Met and the campground as well.

Attendance isn't a problem, but apathy is. Just like the teams, the fans are only there for appearances. Maybe playing on campus would make some teams care about winning the tournament again. IDK, just throwing stuff out there
How is it fair to have the tournament at a pitcher friendly park every year? What if your team is built for it's home field and is full of sluggers. They're negated in Hoover, usually.
None of it really matters, since most SEC Tournament teams are already set in Regionals anyway

I read somewhere in the last year or so they are expanding Hoover Met to add more baseball fields and build a convention center type place. Not sure if that is still in the works though.

I think it's time to see if other venues can support it. And if it doesn't work, you come back to Hoover. I think the change in scenery would be good for the tourney itself.
I understand if it's not broke, then leave it as is and with the proximity to most schools it's why Hoover works. That Birmingham stadium is nice but is there enough amenities around it - hotels, dining,etc.
I know the coaches like the layout Hoover provides with everything convenient.
I think they need to shorten the SEC tourney, by the time you make it to the weekend, everyone is out of pitching and not many schools are going to burn up pitching when the regionals start the next weekend.

I always thought Autozone Park in Memphis would be the perfect location.
