Funny timing. Didn't work.

Why would he agree to anything less then what he is owed per his contract? If he accepts less he's an idiot unless he already has another job lined up.

Fortunately for everyone else, I think Bama is making a huge mistake...
All of your rivals doing well in Basketball this season has you overreacting.

It absolutely sickens me that in 2019, Alabama is firing a black man for no real reason. It is like Selma didn't even happen.

It absolutely sickens me that in 2019, if this coach were white, racists would be howling for his termination in order to hire a competent coach.
It is like some people judge others based solely on the color of their skin like Americans did back in the 60's.

Race is no issue, as long the next coach is from Midwest or northeast then I'm happy.

They're the most racist people in America. Will fit right in. And this whole time I thought UGA were the real racists after what they did to that poor QB.

As long as Alabama doesn't hire a coach from Ensley, Alabama, everything will probably be okay.
Every single person in Ensley is a racist bitch.

6 Million or whatever now plus some sort of assistant or front office NBA job is better than 8 million over 4 years without employment

Sickening the way Avery was treated by this fanbase. Absolutely sickening.
I’ve lost a ton of respect for that group of fans. I know it’s not all, but a majority have made me absolutely sick to my stomach. Avery earned another season at MINIMUM.

If the difference isn't enough to cover a few Chargers then it doesn't matter. Avery will have the last laugh.

He's already had the last laugh. 4 years of making big, big bread, walks out a loser drawing high school crowds (which is a real no no) yet wins the lottery.

He either hates coaching at Bama that bad or Bama has dirt on him.

I would say only having one NCAA Tournament appearance in 4 years (despite recruiting well) and then losing in the first round of the NIT the other three years probably has something to do with it.

His buyout is $8 million right now but it drops to $6 million on 4/15.
Most likely the discussion has been what number between those two will get him gone now. It's one of those few times where each side has legitimate motivation to negotiate. Bama wants to move on today and Avery knows he has a very narrow window to get more than $6 mil.
