but it ended up being meaningless, really. They both grabbed top 2 seeds. Congrats, Vols and Wildcats!
Edit: I am surprised at the angry responses by LSU fans here. Chicken himself has confirmed that the proper way to rank SEC teams at the end of regular season play is via rankings. I distinctly remember a much-loved post where he defended that very principle!
