Both names are being floated as possible replacements for Billy Kennedy at Texas A&M.
Put aside whether or not you think either coach will end up in College Station.
But hypothetically, which coach is the better hire: Buzz or Kelvin?

I’m not a huge follower of hoops, so I’m genuinely curious what some of you basketball aficionados think of these two options.

Who will replace Billy Kennedy at Texas A&M?

Buzz. He would be a character in the conference.

Both would be great. I think we have a better shot at Buzz. Tillman would never let Sampson go.

If I were A&M I’d make an offer to Dirk Nowitzki.

Go hire Kelvin Sampson. We need another athletic program on probation in the SEC.

I think Buzz is the better fit for A&M. I think Sampson is the better coach.

No to Kelvin Sampson. He’s more likely to get into trouble again.

Anyone else who can draw up a play during a timeout should get consideration.

Neither. If you want to move the needle, then flex some of the money muscle y’all always tout and go hire Eric Musselman.

Both would be strong hires. Sampson's past would have me hesitant though which ikely tips the scale towards Williams if I'm A&M. Both additions would be big for said team and the conference

Vols have had nothing but despair from guys named Buzz so I'd go with Kelvin Sampson. YMMV.

You don't hire Sampson. He has a show-cause for a reason.

Uncle Tillman will never let Kelvin go. Besides, the reality is that the Coogs are back and they are a much better basketball school.

Buzz William would be a tremendous hire for us!

Buzz Williams has somehow made VT basketball relevant in the toughest conference in the country.

Of those, Buzz. Kelvin Sampson can't stay out of NCAA trouble.
