If you could choose to live anywhere in the world, taking into account all factors, where would it be?

I think somewhere in the Missouri or Arkansas Ozarks would be ideal for me. It has everything at my fingertips that I like to do, is in relative close proximity to my family and has a good climate year-round. And it actually has a fall season.

What about y'all?

Pics of the area of which I speak:

In mountain-ish area but within a few hour drive of the beach. Don’t care to live up north /in a colder climate. I lived in Denver for a little bit, I’m over it. West North Carolina maybe?

My Grandfather made a lot of friends in the Park Service and when I was a kid, after he’d retired, I’d join him on trips each summer to go visit them. He knew this one guy who was an eight digit millionaire and had this gigantic log mansion that had multiple balconies and a large deck over the fork of the Columbia river and a tributary I can’t remember. Also had a small raspberry farm right there by the house all surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest.

I used to dream of owning that place someday. Now I’d like something smaller but it made me fall in love with that area. Land looks super expensive though.

Auburn, Alabama.

Rapidly growing town. My alma mater. Close to Atlanta but not too close.

Isn’t that where Joe Dirt lived?

Joe Dirt is one of my favorite movies.

Perfect comedic timing.

Even Kid Rock is great in it.

I used to spend a lot of time in Eastern Washington and the Idaho panhandle. Highly underrated area, in my opinion. Lake Coeur d'Alene is freaking breathtaking.

Cosigned.
I was fortunate enough to get a helicopter tour of that entire island. Flew up Waimea Canyon in a Blackhawk. Gorgeous place.

I still like NWA, but if I had to choose somewhere else it would be there or Northern New Mexico.

It's still cold in North Carolina.
And we get snow.
(when i think Western NC I think Asheville, it's in the 40s there today.

Too far from home, but I’ve loved that place since going to Philmont when I was young.

I hear Red River, NM is nice. Ray Wylie Hubbard wrote “Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother” there.

I can handle that type of snow and overal weather. 17 inches overnight at the beginning of April is stuff im trying to avoid.
