didn’t think he did but I saw that someone said he hit .427 on the season, which is why I changed the post. I guess my original assumption was correct. Not sure what the other guy was talking about but his other stats were correct so I didn’t question him

Listen to me you stupid frick. Rhymes flirted with .400 but ended up like .375

I think Jason Williams or Russ Johnson were the only to clip .400

I’m not sure though so that can be fact checked.

Your frickimg claim is dead wrong though

I said that if I need a base hit. And I stand by that

If I need a base hit with today’s bats and balls then I would go with Duplantis. If it’s any equipment from any time, sure let’s give Todd Walker the rocket bats that he never had and there you go you have the perfect situation

Nope I just checked LSUsports. I was right you idiot. He batted .431 in 2012 and led the nation in batting average.

100% not correct unless it didn’t meet the minimum.

On phone so can’t link, be he is not listed in the top 10.

I remember the season also. He was above .400 75% of the time, but dropped to like .375

It was the year we lost to UCLA and TCU in the series.

Look, I loved Raphe when he was here. But he DID NOT hit .431 in a season based on minimum AB’s.

It was a constant thing in the media down here if he could clip .400

He didn’t

I live in Baton Rouge. I am aware of the constant media thing. That “media thing” was in his junior season, the year after his .431 season, and it was about whether he would be over .400 for his career, not for one season. You are correct it ended with him finishing at exactly .370, but that was for his career not for the season

I take back what I said regarding Rymes. He must have been flirting with .500

I really thought it was .400

My mistake

Rhymes did hit .431 in 2012.
I do remember what your talking about as well though. Is it possible he was flirting with .500 and dropped to .431 by season end? I was thinking you were right, but his BA from that season is all over the web (not to mention LSU’s own site.

Edit: you just mentioned the same

It all depends on how many at bats Jake gets against OM, he has made a career out of causing rebel tears to flow.

Odd that a kid from bama hates them so much.

I didn’t actually think he ever got high enough to be considered flirting with .500 but actually you are right. He was sitting at about .470 before he went on a late season slump. That season was more impressive than I even remembered. I still think it was the following year where he was chasing a career .400 batting average as well though

Lol maybe I will have to watch that series then. Seems like he really swings it well whenever he plays the rebels
