To bring Anthony Edwards to Athens. How else could that pathetic program land the #1 player in the country??
How will it fell next season to know that you wasted your money on a recruit who will only be there for a year, and y’all will still be behind Tech and Georgia State tradition and record wise?

Georgia Tech hasn’t made the Tournament since 2010. Georgia last made it in 2015.
Georgia Tech hasn’t won the regular season conference title since 1996, Georgia hasn’t since around that time frame as well

No, neither team is that good in basketball but based off those stats UGA gives him a better chance of winning than GT. Georgia Tech isn’t the basketball school they used to be, and Georgia has arguably leapfrogged them as being the premier college basketball team in the state.

When UGA has reached a final 4 AND a title game, then they can leap frog us. And currently, Georgia State is the best program in our state.
UGA has a LONNNNGGGG way to go before they catch the two Atlanta schools

Sure he is only going to be there a year but they needed something to kick start their program and get people interested. Good move on their part.

Not sure why Tech has sucked since going to the Final Four in '04. I thought Hewitt was one of the best young coaches in the country, but he dropped like a stone after that.

I always liked Georgia Tech. It seems like all the classy people in Georgia went to Tech and the rest went to Georgia.

So you are Mr. UGA Supporter? How many basketball games have you attended this year? Last year? Last 10 years? I’m in an immediate family of 9 UGA grads, and I can guarantee that not one of us have been to a UGA basketball game in over 8 years, and two of us played high school basketball. But that was in a time when players couldn’t stand flatfooted and almost touch the rim. A time where, if you took 4 steps with the ball like they do now, it would be called a walk. If you dribbled the ball over your head and palmed it, you’d be called for traveling. We played defense all up and down the court. And were required to not live in the paint, and goal tending was called. Today’s “basketball” is in no way related to the original intention of the game. You can call me a “sidewalk fan”, and I haven’t played much in over 15 years, but I could still kick the shite out of your sidewalk arse in one-on-one.
Oh, and to prove my 99% point, go visit the UGA basketball board. It’s hopping.
