Why do we wait until AFTER they’ve hit 2 home runs, 2 RBI’s, and. 2 wild pitches to pull the pitch? Been yelling at my tv since the 3rd inning for this to happen

The stage was a little too big Goodman. Cornell should have started, in hindsight.

I'm not sure it would have mattered. The dam was going to break against either of them I think.

Not pitching Fouts was the right move, but it was also basically the end of things.

I agree with not starting Fouts. But I don’t agree with leaving Goodman in that long. Sooner or later they were going to get in a groove on her and they did. They showed signs 2 innings before the dam broke they were figuring her out with long, hard fouls. It was time to switch pitchers. I don’t know if Cornell or Fouts was the answer but it was suicide to stick with Goodman. That, and the weak, erratic offense did us in. We’ve got to swing the bat better consistently. Is Murph ever going to give up the hitting coach title?

Also, UCLA should send us a Christmas card for keeping Oklahoma on the field for so long and improving the Bruins odds.

Really enjoyed the CWS. Exciting games. Hope Murphy has some good hitters signed up,pitching is not going to be a problem in the near future. Roll Tide Girls.

Great season. The pieces for a run at the title are in place for next year, should be another fun year.

We need hitters who can make contact vs great pitching. Too many people last night swung at horrible pitchers not close to the K zone. Our left hand batters acted like they had never seen a left handed pitcher before.

And those wanted Cornell to start or come in earlier. We saw how they got a HR off her. She is basically a fast ball pitcher and OK is a good fastball hitting team. They have a team batting average of around 350. We are fortunate to have kept them to 3 runs in the first two games.

Should have rolled with Fouts last night. If we lost so be it, but if she would have beaten them then she could have rested for Game 1 of the Finals and gone back to back for Game 2 and 3 if necessary.

That'd be nice, but Oklahoma and Arizona were 2 of the most prolific offenses in the last decade and they scored 0 runs in 15 innings against our elite pitcher.

Our offense was good this year and we roughed up plenty of good pitchers (see game 1 on Saturday). It'd be nice to add a little more pop, though.

Elite pitchers are elite for a reason.

Good season. I'm glad the team was able to show we deserved higher than an 8 seed. Hopefully we get back to the final series again soon.

Just for comparative purposes

OPS
2017 - .767
2018 - .807
2019 - .886

That's a healthy year over year increaee that should be even better next year. He didn't hire a hitting coach, but he's fixed the problem we all clamored about.
