Serious question, why does Florida have such a dump for a baseball stadium?

They’ve had plenty of success in baseball don’t get me wrong, but that stadium looks like an AAC stadium at best. Tbh I feel like they deserve better. What’s the deal?

Waste of money by UF on a new stadium. The fan support is horrible for baseball in Gainesville. They won’t ever sell that thing out

This is like a band aid. I like the effort, but it’s just not sec baseball quality yet. The only team in the east that has an exceptional stadium is Usce.

Huh? It will be a brand new $65 million stadium, capacity up to 10K. It will definitely be SEC quality.

Probably this.
Gators are new to sports success and as such they do not have the multigenerational cultural ties like you see at nearby Auburn and Georgia. Also, with more to do in the state, hard to keep college feel in the students. Starkville and Oxford may have less national success but as the monopoly for the area they have tighter long term fans who follow in victory or defeat.
