Watching this game, and when LSU really got after it, you could really see the disparity in athleticism. LSU is just more explosive, Mizzou has grit, for damn sure.

Why does this always happen to us?

That last foul call in regulation was brutal. Not that the 15-1 collapse wasn’t bad... but that was a terrible call.

There were three or four non calls that preceded that.
But the end of the game is why Geist is such a liability. We aren’t ahead without him. But no other PG in our league collapses like that.

Yeah Pinson had just fouled out and with Smith out it hurt our ball control.

That's what I mean about the disparity in athleticism. when they put the clamps down on Geist, he had no physical answer. Pinkett is heavy legged, Puryear showed little explosion. I'm sure they are all high character guys and Coach CM is a great guy. But more tall, long, athletic recruits are needed. This game was coached well, but LSU showed that once they put it together, they were a step above athletically.

Help is on the way. Jackson and McKinney are both the types of athletes Mizzou needs.

Puryear has been painful to watch this year. He's literally just a smaller version of Reed Nikko.

Nikko hit a jump shot!!! They called that 5th foul on Pinson, because the LSU player tripped him and Pinson fell on his face and got called for the foul after being tripped.

Mizzou is in need to recruit better players all across the board! That is only way Mizzou can compete against top teams.

He got both Porter’s, Tilmon, Mark Smith, and Dru Smith.
He has recruited the good athletes and athletic transfers.
Coach Martin has ran into bad luck. Dru Smith was supposed to be the starting pg last night and Jontay at the 4.
It’s not like he is recruiting like KA. With this lineup KA would be struggling to have 5 wins.
If Cuonzo had his recruits playing Mizzou would be a top 20 team.
Dru Smith was ranked as the #4 transfer in the country, the Porters, and Tilmon top recruits. MPJ ranked #2, JP ranked 25, and Tilmon ranked #43.
Recruiting athletes is not the problem. Keeping them healthy, eligible, and Tilmon on the court is the problem.

Took my five-year-old daughter to her first game on Sat. We left up 14. After walking to the reactor field lot, I flipped on the car to hear Mike Kelly telling us that a free throw would tie it with 2.2 seconds to go.
I felt like this was the perfect Mizzou indoctrination moment.

Foul on Tilmon under the basket was ridiculous
No call when Geist got raped in the corner
Call on Suggs to end the game
All 3 of those were terrible.
