Tired of getting lumped in with all the Saints fans and their nonstop whining.

I am not a Saints fan.
Funny thing about this board is there are a lot of Alabama/State/Ole Miss fans that are Saints fans, yet for some reason a lot of people think trolling the Saints is trolling LSU. I couldn't care less about the Saints. I'm not from Louisiana, don't live there, and am from a state that already has an NFL team, albeit a shitty one
I agree that the call was terrible, but I also think the Saints fans' reactions have been hilarious.

I am an LSU grad and a Saints fan, and the reactions have been ridiculous. Was it a bad no-call? Absolutely. Did it decide the game? Hell no.
You had a 13-point lead that should have been 21 in the first quarter. You had a 3-point lead with 1:41 to go, but that could have been 1 minute and no timeouts for the Rams had Brees thrown a decent pass on first down and/or you run it three consecutive times. You got the ball first in OT with a Hall of Fame quarterback.
The Saints didn't do enough. They fell asleep during the fake punt, which was so obvious I told my wife the fake punt was coming before it was happening. They got dominated on both sides of the lines. They scored 10 points after halftime. They got outplayed after the first quarter. Their head coach never got over the no-call while the game was still happening, and it seemed to have an effect on his team.
I'm sick of the whining, but it's typical of our society these days. Let's blame everyone else and whining about fairness or the lack thereof instead of looking in the mirror and taking responsibility for what the Saints didn't do. Worry about the things you can control. Officiating is not something you can control.

Couldn't this thread be interpreted in such a way that one might construe it to be a subtle whine?

THANK YOU! I'm not sure what the numbers are.. I'll have to look them up.. but I feel like there's a pretty large percentage of out-of-state LSU alumni or just fans of the team. They either only really lived in Lousiana during their college days or maybe have never even set foot in Louisiana. This LSU fan = Saints fan assumption is hilarious to me.

Sure it could be slight whining. Sure as hell ain't as pronounced and overdramatic as the whining from a good portion of saints fans

Indeed.
I shall endeavor not to lump you in with the likes of those you have listed.

LSU fans have no right to talk shite about Saints fans whining. What a dumb thread.

not a saints fan, but I don't care anything for professional football at all.

it's more or less the lasting group of non kneelers who revile in the Saints' demise.
There are plenty LSU fans who aren't Saints fans though, but that would be referring to those who weren't Saints fans even prior to the "kneel or no kneel".
I've seen the other side too. I saw a post just the other day saying something to the effect of, "you see (saints fans), you wouldn't be let down if you were boycotting the NFL in support of Colin Kaepernick."

Any LSU/Rams fans around? Or did they all spontaneously combust?

I'm a lifelong Gator fan and have been a Saint fan since 1967. And, they got screwed last week and that call, at that moment in time, cost them the game. All the rest is BS, that no call was the worst I have ever seen in my 62 years of watching football at all levels. The NFL is shite, poor officiating, worse rules, bias for big market teams due to TV ratings. I stopped watching for a year when they fricked up the anthem issue and will not watch again until something changes.
the NFL.
The A of AF and the new XFL will hve more credibility in my eyes than the NFL>

Not a Saints fan, but that was an awful missed call.

In I guess. LSU is the only team (regardless of sport) that I follow with interest and passion.
I'm fine if the Saints do well, and have no attachment to another NFL team; but the NFL is just a cheap version of College Football for me. It was a bad call and I wasn't happy for about 3 minutes on Saturday.
