Way overpriced for less than stellar food. Great ambiance, though.

It's definitely up there. New Orleans and Atlanta have several that have Beard Awards and famous chefs as well, I assume.

Well yea, they won the James Beard Award for Best Restaurant in America this year.

Commanders Palace and Bern's Steakhouse would be my winners though I have had a good meal at the Highlands.

I don't think Bern's would be in the SEC footprint, although its fantastic.

Then neither is Birmingham...would say Tampa is one of the largest UF alum cities.

There's a casual place in Beaufort, SC right on the waterfront that has some of the best seafood dishes I've had.

No way, lived in Bham for 8 years. It’s not even the best restaurant in Bham.

UF is in Florida last I looked and UA is in Tuscaloosa not Birmingham.
