False Clemson ran 99 plays on Bama and scored 35 pts. That's hardly a torching. 5 yds per play is decent, but not close to a torching. Especially with Hurts going 13-31 and not converting 3rd Downs in the 2nd half.
Saban transformed the defense in 2015. 2013 and 2014 were the last time you would see Bama with 250lb + run thumping Lbers. Rueben Foster and Mack Wilson are the new normal at Bama. There are no more Don't a Hightower and Rolondo McCain types. During those two years Bama secondary was awful as well. Very little talent. Just last year 5 of Bama's secondary players all made NFL active rosters.

We don’t play them very often, 2009 Florida and 2017 Clemson come to mind right off the top of my head though. Undefeated, top ranked Clemson managed 6 points last year.
Ole Miss is 9th in the country in yards per game. They managed 7 points. Missouri is tied at 18th, Texas A&M is 20th. 10 and 23 points respectively.
Believe it or not, Alabama faced more top 25 offenses (5) this season than Oklahoma did (4)
