Weird, eerie Orange Bowl feeling....

several of my fellow Sooners on here are confident, which is fine. But the arrogance and cockiness needs to chill. The 3 game winning streak over Alabama doesn’t matter. The 2014 Sugar Bowl has no bearing on this matchup. If anything, the Sugar Bowl fueled the future excellent play of Derrick Henry.
I was newly 21 as I was pumped for the 2005 Orange Bowl experience in Miami. I was there for a week. Had a lot of fun. On paper, Oklahoma seemed to be the sure favorite. Media picked Oklahoma. 2003 Heisman winner and 2004 Heisman Runner-Up vs. 2004 Heisman winner and 2005 Heisman winner (later vacated).
The first few minutes were nice. 7-0 Oklahoma. Then a muffed punt that just began the onslaught. Oklahoma matched up evenly with USC. But the play itself made it seem like it was Alabama throttling Notre Dame in the BCS title game.
I had USC fans buying my uncle and I drinks before halftime. They were baffled. They were beginning to party while we were wanting to just forget about it pretending like we were at a Dolphins game.
2018 Oklahoma has an all-world offense. 2018 Alabama has an all-world offense and a very respectable and underrated defense.
Do I think Oklahoma wins? No. No bias here. I do see it being high scoring, 52-40 Alabama. But I’ve seen potential live completely get shut down in the fashion of 55-19. Man that was brutal.
To the arrogant and cocky OU fans here; history doesn’t favor OU in recent memory in Miami:
2005 Orange Bowl loss; 2009 BCSNCG loss; 2015 Orange Bowl loss.
Show some respect for the opponent. They’ve earned it. Talk game and compare competitive play.
This game can be epic or it could easily turn disastrous as we have seen from our inept defense.
Hope for a classic vs. Alabama! 19 combined poll era national titles going head-to-head!

Should be fun. Congrats to your guy on last night. Worthy winner.

If Oklahoma wins, it will be a pretty big upset. They are 14 point under dogs. That being said, 14 point under dogs win from time to time. It’s not that complicated.

The two defenses are a gross mismatch. Hate bama but the only way this stays remotely respectable is alabama burning clock with the run game.
Notre Dame fricked as well.

Like you said both OU and BAma have very good offenses
However only Bama has a very good defense,
Without any disrespect, Bama will win by 24 points, all it will take is 2-3 stops of OU because OU will not be able to stop Bama

Bama going to steamroll OU. Hopefully the playoff committee will remember that asdkicking next year before voting another terrible B12 team in

Hopefully Aggy can win enough games to eventually be #1 in Texas. Baby steps.

The two defenses were just as big of a mismatch last time, and so were the offenses and special teams. We had zero advantages in any phase of the game.

Not quite this bad, and I doubt OU gets the advantage of Alabama turning the ball over 5 times this game...

So you think OU wins?

It was waaaaaaaay worse actually. We had no clear QB1 and hadn't had one all season. We had no real playmakers at the skill positions. No running game. No special teams. A below average defense. And half of our Oline was out with injuries.
We were supposed to get destroyed by the Saban machine. The entire country thought the same.

I am sure you do, acc fanboy. At least, that's what you are hoping because the Bama Clemson game will be just as big a mismatch as last year was.

I have no idea who wins. We have a month to prepare as well. What I can tell you is Oklahoma isn't going to walk into the Orange Bowl expecting to lose and they won't back down.
I can also tell you that during that month of preparation, ESPN SEC lackeys are going to run their stupid mouths all month long, just like they did last time, and give us an entire wall of lockerroom material.

That's what all of you chuntering morons said last time.
That's what you chuntering morons have said every time we face any SEC team.

So your saying "We want Bama"? That never ends well.

We aren't cuckolded little pussy boys who sit back and admire Bama destroying our team like you.

Neither does calling fake punts from your own 50 against them without a plan.
